Learn about the surprising risks in your daily life that you might not expect!
The Story:
A Reddit user started finding strange Post-it notes around his house and thought his landlord was breaking in, leaving notes, and moving things. “I found a Post-it note on my desk reminding me of some errands I hadn’t told anyone about.” It happened again: “I found a note on my desk chair, telling me to ‘save my documents.'” After this, he set up a webcam.
One day, he woke up to another note: “Our landlord isn’t letting me talk to you, but we need to.” He checked his webcam, but there were no recordings, and his recycling bin was emptied, which he hadn’t done. He thought his landlord was stalking him, but it turned out he had carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.
A Redditor suggested checking CO levels, and it turned out there was a slow leak in the house. CO leaks can cause headaches, confusion, hallucinations, and even feelings of dread. Some believe ghostly activity can actually be caused by CO poisoning. At higher levels, it can be dangerous, so it’s important to have CO detectors near bedrooms and on each floor of your home.
