Romantic relationships between bosses and workers, customers and clients, or teachers and students often make people ask, “Couldn’t they find someone better?” But after reading these stories, you might see that real love has no boundaries.
The Story:
I’m 11 years older than my husband. A year ago, a beautiful girl started working in his department. She began flirting with him, but my husband just laughed it off. I didn’t take it seriously either.
But the other day, I hear the intercom, and there she is—with a baby in her arms. She tearfully says, “Look, it’s your husband’s son! He stays with you out of pity, and we’ve been living as a family. Let him go!” I was shocked, and then our son walked in, also surprised.
We both looked at each other and started laughing. The woman stormed out. She didn’t know that my husband can’t have kids and that we adopted our son 12 years ago (our son knows). This was too much, and my husband asked management to deal with it, but the girl quit out of shame.
People often say it’s unfair I got a rich, young husband, the dream of many women. But it wasn’t me who chased him; he wanted to be with me. A man isn’t a prize you have to fight for.
