Miranda’s Husband Crossed the Line with Insane Demands
Miranda, 33, wrote us a heartfelt letter. Her family was doing great until one day, her husband, Josh, started demanding crazy things from her.
She began, “My husband and I have known each other for a long time. We started as friends 5 years ago and got married 10 months ago. I get along well with his family; my in-laws adore me, and I’m friends with his relatives and old friends. Everything was great until recently.
The problem is that my husband has been making me very uncomfortable, and I missed some early warning signs. Now I see I should have been more cautious.”
Miranda continued, “First, he started asking me who I was meeting, where I was going, and what my friends and I planned to do. This happened every time I left the house without him. At first, I thought he was just being protective and caring. But when he started checking my phone, which he never did before, I got really uncomfortable.”
The woman noticed other red flags in her husband’s behavior.
Miranda shared, “My husband insisted that I link my bank account to his. He said it was because he handles the finances, but this bothered me because he was fine with separate accounts when we were just living together. We fought about it a lot, and I eventually gave in. “I never hid anything from him about my plans or who I was meeting. I had nothing to hide. But he started double-checking everything with other people, contacting them to ask about every detail, like if I sent texts, ordered food, or how much I ate. I felt like I was being pushed into a corner.”
Things got even worse. Miranda shared, “Recently, my husband was getting ready for a 3-week work trip. He insisted I wear a tracker so he could monitor me while he was gone. I was shocked! I feel like I can’t do this anymore. It feels like I’m suffocating and have no personal space left.”
