We don’t always know if we’ve done the right thing, especially with friends or family. Some people shared their stories online, asking others for advice to see what they should do. Read and decide whose side you’re on.
The Story:
A few days ago, my ex-husband accidentally sent me a large amount of money. It was early in the morning, and when I woke up, I saw tons of missed calls and texts from him asking for the money back. But he owed me a lot of money for a long time (I had lent it to him after our divorce when he had no job), so I kept the amount he owed me and sent the rest back.
This caused a huge problem! It turns out he had been saving to buy an engagement ring for his new girlfriend, and now the engagement is canceled. His girlfriend is now sending me angry messages on social media, and his parents, who I was close with, are on his side. We have 4 kids together, and I didn’t even take the unpaid child support. Was I right to do this?
