True Stories About Weddings That Ended Up Ruined

Getting married requires a lot of planning, and having a perfect wedding is almost impossible. However, some people have it worse. Because of family fights, bad weather, or accidents, many weddings don’t go well, and some of these stories have been shared on social media.

The Story:

This happened around 2009. On the second day of the wedding, the bride went swimming in the ocean in Tenerife. She swam too far and was “lost at sea” for about 9 hours. She finally made it back, but she was in bad shape. Everyone was worried all day and thought she had drowned. By the time she returned, she wished she hadn’t.

Her husband found her phone and read several messages that were supposed to be from her aunt. But it was clear from the messages that it wasn’t her aunt at all; she had been having an affair with the best man for apparently years. They got an annulment soon after, wasting $60,000, as it was one of the most extravagant weddings I’ve ever attended.

Another Story:

It was a big wedding with over 300 guests. It turned out the bride was having an affair with her cousin’s husband. The cousin knew for a little while but waited until the wedding to tell everyone, going from table to table to let them know the bride was sleeping with her husband. The poor groom was completely shocked.

The worst part was that his father-in-law was wealthy and had opened a restaurant for him. In the end, he lost both his wife and the restaurant.
