Romantic relationships between bosses and workers, customers and clients, or teachers and students often cause arguments and doubts. People may ask, “Why didn’t they find someone more suitable?” But after reading these stories, you might see that true love has no limits.
The Story:
I am 11 years older than my husband. A year ago, a beautiful girl started working in his department. She began flirting with him. My husband tried to laugh it off, and I didn’t take it seriously.
But one day, I hear the doorbell ring. There she is, holding a small baby in her arms. She tearfully says, “Look, it’s your husband’s son! He stays with you because he feels sorry for you, but we’ve been living as a family for a long time. Don’t make him stay, let him go!” I was shocked, and our son came out, looking surprised too.
He and I looked at each other and started laughing. The woman yelled at us and left. She didn’t know my husband couldn’t have children, and we adopted our son 12 years ago (he knows). That was the last straw, and my husband asked his boss to deal with it. But the girl was so embarrassed that she quit on her own.
People have told me many times that it’s unfair I have a rich, young husband, the kind many women dream of. But it wasn’t me who chased him, he chose me. A man isn’t a prize you have to fight for.
