A 38-year-old woman shared her story about how her sister, who has been cruel to her all her life, finally got what was coming to her. The woman felt like her sister, Sally, had always made her life miserable, but karma caught up with Sally during a family gathering, and it was the perfect revenge.
The woman began her story: “My parents have three daughters: Maya, me, and Sally. Sally was born with a serious medical condition, and doctors didn’t think she’d survive, but my parents never gave up on her. After she got better, Sally became their favorite, and they spoiled her with the best of everything. I was always the forgotten child who got Sally’s old clothes.”
She explained, “I didn’t mind at first, but I was always treated unfairly. I was the scapegoat, and Sally was in constant competition with me. My parents pitted us against each other. If I did something good, they barely noticed, but if Sally won anything, they celebrated. I was always punished, even if I didn’t do anything wrong. Sally teased me and our other sister, Maya, all the time because she was ‘special.’”
The woman continued: “Sally was awful to me. She would tease me, take my things, and even went after my crushes. When I was in high school, Sally made out with my crush in front of me. Our parents didn’t have enough money for college for both me and Maya. Maya got a scholarship, and I had to take out a loan.”
The worst came when Sally went after the woman’s college boyfriend. “I was deeply in love with my boyfriend in college. One day, I found them kissing in our basement. My parents were mad at Sally for a bit, but soon after, they acted like it was no big deal and said, ‘Well, we can’t separate true love.
After that, the woman couldn’t take it anymore. She told her parents she was done being neglected and cut off contact for years. She later met a wonderful man, got married, and didn’t invite Sally to her wedding. Her parents refused to come, but she didn’t care.
The woman said, “I’m now pregnant with my first child. My parents reached out, and I decided to make peace. We have a big family dinner every year at my parents’ house. I went with my husband, Adam. Sally was there with her husband—my ex. During the dinner, Sally tried to get close to Adam, but he ignored her. When it was time for speeches, Sally stood up and made a dramatic speech about how lucky she was to be alive.”
Sally then turned to her sister and said, “I know it must hurt you that your old boyfriend is my husband now, but I thank you for being so strong.”
That’s when Adam lost it. He stood up and yelled, “How dare you insult my wife! You think you’re special because you survived? The only thing you’ve ever achieved is staying alive. Everything you have was stolen from my wife, even your husband. You’re so annoying that even your own husband doesn’t like you. You have nothing and are nothing. You even tried to hit on me. I’d rather die than be with someone like you.”
Adam also told Sally that she’s always been jealous because she knows she’ll never be as amazing as his wife.
The woman wrote, “Sally broke down in tears, and everyone was stunned. Even my cousins were quiet. My mom told me I was a terrible person for laughing at Sally, but I didn’t care. It was karma.
