Sometimes it feels like every day is the same: we see the same people and talk about the same things. It’s like we’re stuck in a loop. But then, there are moments when fate changes the story, and we remember those moments for a long time.
The Story:
I come home from work, go to the kitchen, and see my husband and our female neighbor drinking tea and smiling. I ask them, “What’s going on?” And the neighbor says, “Julia, I don’t know either.” She’s wearing short shorts and a T-shirt. I got really upset. Then, there’s a knock on the door, and her husband comes in yelling, “That’s it, you can come in now. Thanks, Sven!” He takes his wife, and they leave. I’m confused and ask my husband what’s happening. He explains that it was their anniversary, and her husband wanted to surprise her by decorating their apartment. Since she’s always home, he asked my husband to distract her for 30 minutes, so he quietly pushed her out of the house. I don’t know what surprise he prepared, but she seemed happy for a few days.
