A kidnapped 3-year-old boy is finally back with his mom after being separated for nearly two weeks. This was possible thanks to a good Samaritan.
Noah Clare had been missing for 13 days. His mom, Amanda Leigh Ennis, was desperately searching for him. It turned out his father, Jacob Clare, had kidnapped him during a scheduled visit. Pictures of Noah were shared widely, hoping someone would find him.
The breakthrough came when a good Samaritan recognized Noah and called 911. Julia Bonin saw Noah, his dad, and his teen cousin, Amber, walking near Doheny State Park in Dana Point. She reported it immediately. Jacob Clare is now in Orange County Jail and will be sent to Tennessee to face charges.
The reunion of Noah and his mom was emotional. Noah ran into his mom’s arms, and there were no dry eyes around. “It’s been a complete and total nightmare. There were moments when I thought I would never get him back,” Ennis said. She thanked Bonin, calling her a “hero.”
Helping others is invaluable. This good Samaritan ensured that Noah could return to a safe, loving home with his mother.
