Parent-child relationships can be tough sometimes. But some people are lucky to have wonderful parents who are always ready to help. Their stories are heartwarming and make us want to hug our loved ones as tightly as possible.
The Story:
A week before my wedding, I found out my fiancé was cheating on me. Crying, I went to my mom for advice. She supported me but convinced me not to cancel the wedding because everything was already paid for and I’d feel ashamed in front of our families. She said I could take revenge on him later. I agreed, even though it didn’t feel right. The wedding day was the worst day of my life. Just before walking down the aisle, my dad noticed how upset I was and pulled me aside to talk. I confessed everything to him.
He put his arm around me and said, “The main thing is that you’re happy, and everything else doesn’t matter. Let’s tell him goodbye together.” I told that jerk what I thought about him and walked away with my head held high. My dad said, “That’s my girl!”
