Willie Nelson won’t be performing at the Outlaw Music Festival this weekend because he’s feeling unwell, as announced on his social media account. The 91-year-old country music legend has been advised by doctors to rest for the next four days. However, he plans to return to the festival next week.
In his absence, Nelson’s son Lukas Nelson and a few other musicians will perform a special set featuring Willie’s classic songs and others. Despite this unexpected change, the festival will go on, with performances from other well-known artists like Bob Dylan, Alison Krauss, Robert Plant, and Celisse.
Originally, Willie Nelson was scheduled to perform at the festival in Alpharetta, Georgia on June 21, Charlotte, North Carolina on June 22, and Raleigh, North Carolina on June 23. Despite his temporary absence, his team confirmed that the festival will continue as planned with the scheduled headlining acts.
