“Date Disaster: When First Impressions Turn Sour”

I don’t usually splurge on first dates. My favorite is taking a stroll in a beautiful garden and then playing mini-golf nearby. Sometimes, if I see something cool in her profile, like an interest in museums or space, I mix things up.
So, I met this awesome girl, and we really hit it off. Based on her profile, I thought she’d dig the South American exhibit at the local museum. We checked it out for our first date and grabbed banana splits after. It felt like a pretty good date, and I was excited to see her again.

We both had busy schedules, but after about 3 weeks, we made plans. We were supposed to catch a movie and grab dinner, but she was super late. So, we just went straight to eat. She spent the first 10 minutes complaining about her “last guy” who took her to a “dumb museum” and didn’t even buy her dinner. She kept going on and on.
I excused myself, paid for my drink and part of the appetizer, and left. I blocked her on the app and phone.
And in case you’re wondering why she didn’t recognize me as the “last guy,” she was mostly glued to her phone, and I had shaved my scruffy beard for an interview.
