When I was 4 years old, I found out I was adopted. They said it was a closed adoption, so I didn’t know anything about my real family.
When I was 13, I saw a picture at my grandma’s house of a girl who looked just like me. Everyone acted like they didn’t know who it was. Then, when I was 17, I found out that my dad’s friend from when he was a kid was actually my real grandma. The picture on the wall was hers, which is why it looked so much like me.
